In memory of

Donald Ross Murray

November 10, 1932 -  May 10, 2022

Donald ROSS MURRAY
Nov.10/32 – May 10/22

It is truly sad that Ross died, peacefully in hospital after a brief illness but a long six months at home totally bedridden due to a fall in October. He is survived by his devoted loving wife Willa and predeceased by wife Laura mother of daughter Kelly and son Tony {Carol). He is survived by his sisters Shirley and Lois but predeceased by brother Bruce.
Ross created many beautiful items for family and friends over the years in his garage/workshop where he was happiest. He was ever devoted to man’s best friend and will no doubt now have a kennel full nearby. Ross knew the words to every song written in the ‘40s and ‘50s and sang them well.
Recently Ross spoke of looking forward to meeting his mother for the first time; she died when he was just a baby. At 90 it’s comforting that he was able to be so positive in our sadness.
As he wished, cremation has been arranged and there will be no funeral.
Hoisting a glass or two in his memory with Tony Bennett in the background, however, would be most appropriate.

Ross was such a good friend and neighbour. Enjoyed many glasses of beer over the years in the yard. He adored our son Connor and always had time for him to watch the fish in the pond. We adored Ross. RIP Ross

Ross (or Geppetto as he was affectionately known) made lots of lovely things in his workshop including a fireplace for me as well as screens and a lattice fence and gate, trellises for my climbing roses, etc. He was always ready with a joke or a quote. He will certainly be missed.

Lynda Carnahan (Ross was a wonderful husband to my 2nd Mom, Willa.)

Thank you Ross for being a great guy and husband to Willa. You had a wonderful sense of humour and you will be missed.
