In memory of

Donald Chung

December 25, 1924 -  September 17, 2016

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, Donald Wilberforce Chung, passed away in his 92nd year, with his family at his side. He will be greatly missed by wife, Josephine (nee Lee), children Terrence (Simone), Brian (Belinda), Anita (Desmond Lee), Colin (Karen), 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by son-in-law, Roderick Fong-Yee, and daughter-in-law, Carol Chung.

Born in Morant Bay, Jamaica, Donald spent his formative years in China, before returning to Jamaica. From there, he wooed and won the hand of Josephine of Panama. They had met seven years earlier on a slow boat from China. Together, they built a successful haberdashery business in Jamaica before immigrating to Canada in 1976.

Donald loved reading, all sorts of music, fishing, and eating Josephine’s wonderful cooking.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tsung Tsin Ontario. Visitation, Sept. 26, 10:00 am and Service, 11:00 am. Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd. East.

Our deepest condolences to the entire family. It is never easy to lose a loved one, despite the wonderfully long life he lived. We are praying for you all that when you think back, you will have fond memories of his life and take comfort that he is standing tall and strong in heaven enjoying himself and laughing.
All our love,
Mina, Tina and Aneesh and families,
