Dimitrios “Jim” Papulkas
May 10, 1935 – March 12, 2023

In loving memory of Dimitrios “Jim” Papulkas who passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on March 12, 2023, with his family by his side.
He and his beloved late wife Dafni will be reunited once again after 67 wonderful years of marriage. Loving father of Tom (Megan), Nick, and Dan (Linda). Adored by his grandchildren Marin, Abby and Ava, who were his pride and joy. He was the youngest of five siblings, the late Alex, Antigoni, Ifegenia and Fotini.
Jim came to Canada from Ethnikon, Greece at the age of 17, full of hope for a new life. As he became accustomed to his new country, he quickly became a huge fan of hockey and the Maple Leafs and later the Argos and the Blue Jays. He worked hard to support his family, spending almost 40 years working at Telfer Packaging. He took great pride in his home and his garden. He and Nick could always be found working on projects in and around the house.
Jim will be greatly missed by family and friends; he will forever be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Dear Tom, Nick and Dan: It was awful news to learn about your charming father's sudden passing and so soon after the loss of your sweet mother. I am grateful for the opportunity this past year to speak with your dad a few times, recalling amusing times of yesteryear. With me, he always displayed a sense of humour. Tom, I wonder if your father ever sacked his pot of gold fortune? I remember his jokes with fondness. Sadly, his demise takes place around your birthday, if memory serves me correctly. Jim was a very good friend of my father's. Dad (George) expresses his sincerest sympathy. He will miss Jim and their camaraderie. Treasure the memories. As we are all grownups today, we now know our parents always and simply wanted the best for us. With heartfelt condolences, Mary and George Kotsopoulos

Our deepest sympathy. My mom and dad were good friends with Jimmy and Dafni. Such a great loss. He was such quiet and gentle man.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am going to miss my Great Uncle dearly. There was only one person on the face of this planet that was a bigger Toronto Maple Leaf fan than me. He wore the crown and was proud of it. I Love you Uncle Jim.
