Dimitra Kaounis

August 24, 1950 -  October 21, 2024

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dimitra Kaounis on Monday October 21st, 2024, at the age of 74.

Dimitra was born on August 24th, 1950, in Kalamata, Greece. She grew up with her parents and 4 siblings. She married her husband Nicholas Kaounis on July 4th, 1971.They moved to Canada in 1972, where they were married for over 53 years and raised their two sons.

She is survived by her husband Nicholas, sons, Anthony and Anastasios (Anna), her grandchildren Nikolas and Alessia and many other beloved family members.

May her memory be eternal and live on in all those who loved her.

*Donations are welcomed to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada in lieu of flowers, as there is a restriction on the amount of flowers allowed in the church.

To theo Nico and family, I wanna send my deepest condolences for hearing the loss of theo Dimitra she was a beautiful woman inside and out and she will be dearly missed. I remember her as a child and and how wonderful she was to myself and my family, she's in a better place. Now, another angel was gained in heaven. Love you all think of you at this difficult time .
