Passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital. Loving husband of the late Shirley. Cherished father of Bradley, Lorraine (Ken), Scott and the late Stephen. Beloved grandma to 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Douglas will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will take place at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 10 am until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. www.etouch.ca

It was a pleasure knowing Doug over the last couple of years. A sweet and quiet gentleman who loved playing horseshoes ( and very good at it too!)
I then became a care provider for him over the past year and we had many good chats.
I know that you will have many great memories of him to guide you through this difficult time. He is quietly in the arms of Shirley.
