Despina Lambropoulos (nee Papadopoulos) was born in Alissos, Greece on December 20th, 1934. She leaves behind the love her life, Aleko with whom she spent 63 wonderful years and together they created their beautiful family. Proud mother of Dea and Chris, her world was completed with the addition of daughter-in-law Diana and finally her two amazing granddaughters, Stephanie and Christina, both of whom she adored and was so tremendously proud.
Daughter of Polihroni and Kondilia, she was the eldest sister to 5 siblings and will be so terribly missed by her surviving sisters, Athanasia Maroudas and Evaggelia Soldevila. She was the very much adored sister-in-law of Kostantino Maroudas and Jaime Soldevila. Predeceased by her brothers, Christos, Yiannis and Kostantinos and nephews Kyriakos and Polihronis (Greece). She was an amazing aunt to Polihronis and Kyriakos (Germany), Peter (Tammy), Andy (Dora), Christina (Harry) and Lydia (Dimitri).
Beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, grandmother, nouna, and friend, her loss is felt by too many to name but all of whom will continue to remember her absolute love of life and her amazing spirit. She was the adviser, the confidant, the story teller, the teacher, the memory keeper, and our heart and soul.
Family meant the world to her, and she loved any and every occasion that allowed her to be with them. Her heart was so full of love, she had still more room for many dear friends and cherished them all so very much. She will be very dearly missed by many both here and in Greece.
Despina loved life with every fiber of her being and fought for every last minute she could before finally leaving us here to be with our Lord and all those she so loved in Heaven. The amazing stories of her lifetime are too many to be captured here but we will be telling them as she remains forever in our memories and hearts.
