Derrick Nelson Decaire

March 27, 1958 - June 3, 2022

In the arms of his loving wife, Derrick Nelson Decaire passed away on June 3, 2022.
Derrick was born on March 27, 1958 in Toronto to Beatrice Decaire of the Wahta Mohawk First Nation.

He grew up in Toronto, where he met and married Cheryl Doyle on August 24, 1991. Derrick cherished his family above all else, and was a committed and devoted husband to Cheryl and a tremendously loving and supportive father to their three children Amanda, Chad and Brad. He was a proud Papa to granddaughter Hailey and the best father-in-law in the world to Roodi.
Derrick also leaves behind his brother Darrell and sisters Denise and Corinne, as well as a large extended family.

Derrick had a way of making everyone feel special and was always willing to lend a hand to neighbours and friends. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his warm heart, and his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Derrick left this world far too soon, but his spirit will live on forever in our hearts and his voice will live on forever cheering for the Leafs!

have in our hearts for you Cheryl and the rest of the family. Derrick was an amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather and more importantly an amazing friend to so many. Our deepest condolences to each and everyone of you during this devastating time.

Nick and I loved him so much he always had a way of making us laugh and nick Derrick shard alot of jokes together I mean he made nick laugh Derrick and you all are very special to us I always talk so highly of you all and because of that nick loves you all even more because you all love me and care for me. Derrick was so loved by us and because of it. Its going to be so hard to say good bye to him we will cherish him for the rest of our lives Nick and I have lots a lot of great people along the way and were just so sad that we lost another great person. We don't see you all, all the time but we love you all so much your all important to us
