Derek and I worked together in Paris. He was always ready to help out others on the team, which was especially nice for me, a newbie at the time. He was calm in the midst of stress, and deeply respected. My condolences to his family, I am so sorry for your loss.
We are incredibly saddened to hear of Derek’s passing. We remember Derek as a hardworking, kind and gentle man. He has left behind the legacy of a beautiful family. Shawn and I wish you comfort in all your memories and peace and strength from family and friends. Fondly,
Rita & Shawn
I'm so sorry for this enormous loss. Derek and I worked on many projects together and I will always remember his brilliance and great humour.
My regrets for not being able to attend his celebration.
My sincere condolences to all the family. I knew him when I worked at Solcorp and I was saddened to hear of his passing. Will be thinking of the family at this difficult time.
We had the pleasure of meeting Derek and Inge a few years ago on Eagle Lake at the Muzzi family cottage.
One of our fondest memories was sitting on our dock of what we call “Muzzi Bay” sipping cocktails and wine, sharing stories, and rolling with laughter with our daughter, and Greg and Denyse.
We didn’t know Derek very well but as the drinks flowed we got him telling stories and remember Denyse saying she learned more about Derek that night than she ever knew.
We are so saddened to hear of your loss.
Please accept our deepest condolences and know that we are thinking of you and your family.
Love the Whitwell Family
