It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Dennis Poulos, devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Dennis was born in Toronto to Denis and Margaret Poulos nee Gordon. Brother to Paul, James, and Doug. Devoted husband to Althea, dear father of beloved and devoted daughter Denna, and sons Steven and Ted. Loving grandfather of Alexander, Justin, Christopher, Allister and Michael. ‘Denny' died Friday morning, February 17th after a short stay at Southlake Health Centre in Newmarket near his Holland River home. Dennis was known for his warmth and patience. The host and proprietor of Toronto’s Spadina Hotel and Cabana Room, Dennis truly loved his work, a good day of golf, flowers, nature, and could capture the beauty of all well through the lens. An avid worker with charitable causes, Dennis especially took pride and interest in his work as a volunteer member on the East Gwillimbury Environmental Committee. His wishes were for cremation. A memorial visitation will be held at ELGIN MILLS FUNERAL CENTRE, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd. E., Richmond Hill (east of Leslie St., 905-737-1720) on Sunday, February 26th from 2-4 p.m. followed by a celebration of Dennis' life with family and friends at 5 p.m. in North York.
