Peacefully at home with his wife and best friend by his side, Denis closed his eyes and drifted to a better place. He will be forever loved and dearly missed by Kim Heppell, together for 26 years. He will be remembered by his sons Denis, Glenn, Donald, Lloyd, Richard and Chad along with their families. He was predeceased by his son Craig (1991) and his brothers Jim (2008), Bob (1992) and Ted (2004). He is survived by his sister Gail (Barry) Garden. Denis will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Wilma and her family.
Due to COVID restrictions of 8 guests, a private gravesite service is scheduled for January 6, 2021 and plans for a Celebration of Life will be made once friends and family can all gather safely.
In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make memorial donations to Heart & Stoke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society, both charities that have touched Denis & Kim’s lives. On-line condolences may be left at https://www.mountpleasantgroup.com/.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered “Come to Me”.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands now rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
Baby, I will always cherish the years we had together,
and I will love you forever, “that’s the bottom line”!
♥ Love Kim xx oo
