In memory of

David Walker Hastings

November 25, 1948 -  December 27, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of David, aged 75, at his home on December 27th.

He was the beloved husband to Christine (nee Corner), a loving father to Jessica Hastings (Leo De la Roca) and Emily Walker (Andrew Walker), and cherished grandfather to Ellis, Bennett, and Cora.

David was an unwavering source of encouragement and support to his family, attending every concert and sporting event, and sharing his passion for music, drawing, and sailing - moments his family will treasure forever.

In addition to his devotion to family, David was a respected architect and dedicated mentor who generously shared his expertise, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and innovation in the field.

His sense of humour, warmth and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Dear Hastings Family

I was so saddened to hear about David’ passing.

David was always upbeat and a wonderful business partner.

I know as well how dedicated he was to his family which I hope can be a comfort to you in this trying time

Unfortunately we are Nova Scotia this weekend and unable to attend the Memorial Service

Kindest Regards

In the short time that we knew David, we saw a unique personality. We enjoyed his sharp wit and clever conversational sense of humour and he left with us some lasting memories. We, like many others, will miss him and cherish those special times we were with him.
