In memory of

David Tien Hua Huang

Huang, Tien Hua (David) Feb 17, 1938 - May 3, 2020.

A loving father, grandpa and husband, Tien Hua passed away on May 3rd in Richmond Hill where he had called home for the past 30 years. He leaves behind his lovely wife, Bair Jia, four sons: Ambrose, Johann, Theodore and Jonathan, two grand daughters: Arya and Cadence and two grandsons: Elias and Emery.

David was born in Calcutta, India, into a family of three sons. He came to Canada for a new life in 1967 and wed the love of his life shortly thereafter. His professional career spanned multiple disciplines including entrepreneurship, real estate and accounting.

Dad's characteristic larger than life ears complimented his sense of humor. He could even make them flap! You couldn't help but smile and laugh together when he made witty remarks or jokes while providing up-to-date, breaking news that he heard on CityTV, Global News, CNN and CP24's Hot Property just to name a few.

Dad always took care of his family and everyone around him before himself and made sure we understood the importance of family, education and delicious cuisine :)

Tien Hua's playful humour, bright attitude and caring charisma will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. Although he is no longer with us, we live in peace knowing he is above watching over us.

Sharing in your sadness as you remember your father. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to meet him. He was friendly, always greeted me with a big smile and a great conversationalist with a terrific sense of humour. He not only saw the value of making others laugh, but he saw laughter as an opportunity to bring people closer together.
He will be missed! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Uncle David was my guardian from the day I was born. His contagious smile and wisdom paved a career path for me. Little did I know that for the years to come I would follow his footsteps and be an accountant.

His generosity and sense of humour is what I will always remember him by. Not to mention his fluency in Cantonese, has made ordering dim sum a breeze on those family gatherings and we can count on him to knows all the tasty dishes.

I am sincerely grateful for his hospitality throughout the years and greeting us with welcoming arms into his family. And because of it, I have gained four amazing and unique siblings that I am proud to call family. He will always be in my heart and smiling from above.
