In Loving Memory of David Ofosu Addo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. David Addo after a brief illness, which led to his admission at Brampton Civic Hospital on October 23rd, 2022. Despite his courageous struggle, he peacefully passed away on June 9th, 2023. David's departure has left a void in our hearts, and we mourn his loss deeply. However, we find solace in knowing that he lived a life of love, kindness, and devotion to his faith.

We gather today to honor the remarkable life of David Ofosu Addo, who was born on February 22nd, 1949, in Asesewa, Ghana to his loving parents, Kofi Obuba Addo and Abena Akomabea. Today, as we gather to honour his memory, we reflect on the incredible journey of his life.

David was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Janet Ofosu Addo, a native of Gyakiti, Ghana. Their relationship was built on faith, and love. Together, they were blessed with five wonderful children: Mark, Faustina, Doreen, Isaac, and Priscilla. David's love and guidance shaped their lives, leaving a lasting legacy of strength and compassion.

Family was important to David, and he embraced his role as a grandfather with joy. He was blessed with seven grandchildren who brought immense light and laughter into his days. His love for them was wonderful, and the memories they created together will forever hold a special place in their hearts. David's faith in the Bible was profound, and as a dedicated Jehovah's Witness, he wholeheartedly embraced the hope of everlasting life. We remember a man who carried an unwavering hope for the resurrection, eagerly anticipating the fulfillment of this promise, as expressed in John 5:28,29. David remained active in the ministry, he was known for his zeal in sharing the truth and his commitment to spreading the good news to others, displaying a dedication that inspired those around him. David's presence brought warmth and comfort to those fortunate enough to know him. We will miss his gentle spirit and love. While our hearts ache with grief, we find comfort in the memories we shared with him.

May the legacy of David Ofosu Addo serve as a reminder to us all – to be better, to love more deeply, and to hold firm to our beliefs. As we bid farewell to David, let us carry his memory with us, honoring the lessons he taught and the love he shared. Rest in peace, dear David Ofosu Addo. Your memory will forever be treasured in our hearts.
