MEIKLE, David John

We are saddened to announce the passing of David John Meikle. He passed away peacefully at home in Oshawa on December 31st 2021 at the age of 67. David was born on October 18th in 1954 in Toronto and spent his childhood travelling with his father’s military career. He spent the majority of his adult life in the Toronto region, and finally settling in the city of Oshawa with his family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth (nee Davison). Loving father of Kevin, Brian (Christa) and Christopher. Proud grandfather of Dylan (Kevin), Sydney (Kevin) and Nicholas (Brian). Son of Kenneth (late) and Beverly (nee Scott). Brother to Scott (late), Barry (Sean) and Sandy (Steve). An avid gardener, reader and lover of music. David could found by his garden in the backyard with a book in hand, sitting after a day of hard work. David’s rich life has found a well-deserved rest, where he will be reunited with his beloved wife Anne. He will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
