It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Cheung at the age of 42.

David positively impacted the lives of those fortunate enough to know him and he will be greatly missed. He was the deeply loved husband of Cheryl Fang, cherished son of Sue and Ken Cheung, and a wonderful friend, family member, and colleague to many.

He had a knack for connecting with others, which can be seen in the breadth of friendships he has sustained throughout his life. He maintained close bonds with friends from his hometown of St. Anthony and continued to develop friendships through all stages of his life.

David's greatest joy in life was helping others. Whether through: lending a hand with a move, providing mentorship, or through his time as the Building Maintenance Manager at the Law Society of Ontario, where he found great fulfillment.

We will remember David's sharp sense of humour and unwavering kindness. He never missed the opportunity to insert a Simpsons reference at just the right moment, and he always captured our full attentions with his storytelling.

Though not expected, for those who feel inclined, a donation to Markham Stouffville Hospital in honour of David would be greatly appreciated.
