David Arthur Jones
November 8, 1947 - March 14, 2024

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart we announce the sudden passing of , David Arthur Jones on March 14, 2024 at the age of 76.
He is Predeceased by his parents Walter & Aileen Jones and by his beloved wife of 49 years Nancy. Survived by his Daughter Julie (Issa) and his four beloved grandchildren JJ, Kaitlyn , Lisa, and Jack. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

“Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.
Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you,
and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just round the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!”

Bye For Now Dad, bye for now❤️

My condolences to Julie and family during this very sad time.
Such fond memories of Dave and Nancy throughout my career at CAT.
I’ve known him since 1989 and we both kept in touch often to make sure we are both ok in life.
We shared a few tears together when his wonderful wife Nancy passed away and it was the least I could do to give him comfort on those phone calls to keep his spirits up.
I am so very sad but I know he is now back with Nancy and that itself brings such comfort.

Rest in Peace Dave. Much of my family are already in Pine Hills. Look them up. They all love a good card game.
