David Allison

March 31, 1944 - August 28, 2021

Passed away suddenly Saturday August 28, 2021. Son to the late Margaret & Philip Allison and brother to the late Jean Allison.

David was a loving and loyal husband to the late Lynda Allison. Generous and kind father to Jacqueline Allison-Todt, father-in-law to Kyle Todt, David’s greatest joy of late was being grandfather to Remington Todt, born September 24, 2018.

David had a sharp wit, and a personality all his own. He enjoyed golfing, reading, travelling, and providing his opinion – solicited, or not. A successful businessman until his retirement in 2009, David enjoyed a quieter life with his nearest and dearest friends & family in Toronto, Pickering, and Florida.

Friends are invited to pay their respects at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre on Thursday September 2nd from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Due to COVID restrictions, a private celebration of his life will follow on Friday September 3rd. In lieu of flowers, please support the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Very saddened to learn of Dave's passing and offer our sympathy to his family and friends. We enjoyed his company at group gatherings during our past Florida winters. He was a very kind, quiet family man who I know will be greatly missed by Jacqueline and her family. He will soon rest with his beloved Linda and will be missed by his friends both North and South of the border. May he rest in Peace.

When I think of David, I will always remember his great smile, his sense of humor, and how how much fun he had with Inge, travelling and enjoying life.

David could always be counted on to provide some great debate about finances and the state of the world. He was always up for a deep conversation and I will so miss his quirky (and sometimes controversial) take on many topics.

May he rest in peace.
