In memory of

Daryl Bruce MacPherson

November 13, 1968 -  June 23, 2025

Daryl Bruce MacPherson left us unexpectedly on June 23, 2025, at the age of 56. Born in Orangeville, Ontario on November 13, 1968, and residing in Mississuaga for the majority of his life, he is survived by his wife Heather MacPherson (Moore), mother Lois MacPherson (Lyon), brother Rob, sister-in-law Liette (Nix), his nephew Max, nieces Ellie and Mia, brother-in-law, Andrew (Andy), nephew Conor, sisters-in-law, Courtney Collins and Candice Moore, fathers-in-law Bert Moore and Keith Williams, predeceased by his two daughters, Nelina Lyon Ann and Lisa Elizabeth, brother Brian, father Norman and mothers-in-law, Margaret and Avril.

Daryl attended Sheridan College in Oakville and earned a diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology in 1990. Following in his father’s footsteps with a passion for aviation, he joined Garrett Manufacturing as a co-op and became a full-time employee in October 1994. Throughout his long tenure, he progressed from an Electronic Technician to the positions of Team Leader and, most recently, Production Supervisor.

He married Heather on October 10, 2010, and became a father on October 31, 2009, to his daughter Nelina.

Daryl loved golf, football (a Chicago Bears fan), travelling, and spending time with his family and friends. He also had a passion for history, reading, photography, ancestry, and waterfall hunting. He became known as uncle to Paul and Katrina’s children and loved being a father for the short time he had with his daughter, Nelina.

His travelling adventures began in his childhood, when his parents would take annual trips. Over the last 18 years, travelling with his wife mostly by cruise ship, he has visited 20 countries, with most recent travels to Australia, New Zealand, Iceland and Norway.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SickKids or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

You meet a lot of people in life and they all have varying degrees of impact. Many come and go fairly quickly. A few last for awhile and make a noticeable difference. But every once in awhile you meet someone who has the kind of impact that lasts a lifetime and maybe makes you a better person for knowing them. We’ve been friends since we were ten and D has been one of those people for me. More than a friend, a brother.
Rest well brother. I’ll miss you.

I am saddened by the passing of a good friend and colleague. Our time as a team on the G4, are my best memories. Going to South Carolina with the gang and hanging out and having many adventures. Golfing drinking and working! Our time together was short but I have the best memories. Thank you for being a part of my life. You will be greatly missed my me and all that knew you.
