It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Darrel on August 31, 2017 at the age of 55. Beloved husband of Susan. Cherished father of Alison and Nicole. Predeceased by parents Benny and Alice. Survived by brothers Charles, John (Denise), Gary, James (Barbara). Dear uncle of Melissa, Justin, Joshua, Andrew, Shara, Jodi and Andrew. Son-in-law of Ken Penley (Betty) and brother-in-law of Ron (Leah) and the late Don. Dedicated long term employee at The NPD Group in Toronto. Volunteer coach at East York Basketball Club for many years. Founding member of The Turzzday Crew. Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Rd., north of St. Clair Ave. E., Scarborough, 416-267-8229) on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Memorial donations to Canadian Tire Jumpstart or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
