In memory of

Daniel Leo Dillon

May 17, 1933 -  August 19, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Daniel Leo Dillon on August 19, 2022 at the age of 89. Beloved partner and best friend of Marie. Loving father of Bonnie (Craig) and Adam. He was predeceased by his son Danny and grandson Danny. Caring Papa of Brandon, Scott (Chloe) and Danilyn.

Dear brother of Theresa (the late Buddy), Eileen (the late Bernard) and Detta (the late Paul). Predeceased by Agnes (the late Jack), Mary (the late Henry), James (the late Louise), Dan, Joan (Ray) and Stanley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Leo was a longstanding member of Alcoholics Anonymous and volunteered a lot of his time mentoring fellow members, working the phone lines and volunteering at the Seaton House. On May 18, he celebrated 50 years of sobriety. He had a long successful career working for Dominion Stores. Additionally, he worked for Fed Ex and drove students to private school. He loved music, hockey, the harness races, was a great story teller and his family was the center of his universe. Always the life of the party, singing and dancing and joking around.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 25th between 4 & 8pm and Friday from 10-11 am, the Service will be held on August 26th @11am.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Wellington for their kindness and compassion during Daniel Leo’s final days, it meant a lot knowing he was so well cared for.

In memory of Daniel Leo and in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington would be greatly appreciated by the family.

He is now singing for the angels. They are going to love him just as we all did.
Sing 'Forgive & Forget' with Papa will you please? Boy, will that be a treat for all those folks up there.
I also know you will watching down & guiding all the AA chapters you contributed to over all the years. Are they ever lucky.

You will be missed big time down here Leo but the memories will always be cherished.
