In memory of

Daniel John McGrath

June 10, 1963 -  February 3, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Daniel John McGrath, on February 3rd 2021 at the age of 57. Danny was surrounded by his loved ones when he lost his short but fierce battle with liver cancer.
Preceded in death by his wife Aprile Hale, his mother Daphne Patricia McGrath, his father Mike McGrath, his sisters Sandra Asselin and Maureen Alderman.
He was a cherished father to Shannon (Matt) Cheyanne (Bo) and Amber. He was a devoted grandfather to Kieran, Ryland, Brayden, Evelyn, Isabella, Ava, Caleigh, Reign, and Monroe. Danny is also survived by his siblings Barrie, Debbie, Mike and Kellie.
Danny’s parents raised him in Toronto alongside his siblings where his father proudly taught him how to fight. Danny went on to win many medals, as well as winning golden gloves for boxing.
Danny was a hard worker, working for local 721 as a rodman for over 20 years.
Danny was a good man with a big heart, he was loved deeply and will be missed by so many.

Due to covid we will not be having a funeral. When it is safe to do so, we will have a celebration of his life as he deserves.

We ask that you please leave any memories you have with him so we can remember all the amazing times.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.

My dear father. I will love you forever and always cherish the memories.
Remember that time we were waiting in dr sonis waiting room and girl beside us was on her phone and was telling her friends she had scabies? Me and you immediatly looked at eachother laughed our asses off and slowly moved away from her🤣😂
Or how about that time you woukd try to embarrass me and amber by singing "im so lonely " really loud in the middle of the mall.
I can't list all my favorite memories. But you were an amazing father and amazing grandfathrr who prided himself on loving his family. You worked your ass off just to give us anything and everything. I loved how you loved to collect things like your stamps and coins and old.money. i loved how strong you were always making me feel safe no mattrt what. Life will never be the ssme without you. I will try to be as good a parent as you were to me. You told me before you died that you were proud of me... well dad im proud of you. Of everythinf you accomplished in your short life. I will always remember our last conversation where you told me you loved me with all.your heart that you were proud of me and i was a great mother to my children.
