Sixth Granduncle Danny will be remembered by me and my family as a brilliant visionary who was intelligent, caring, compassionate, gracious, full of fun and logic. He convinced his oldest brother, my grandfather, to allow my mother, a widow with three young children in 1961, to marry a visiting Caucasian bachelor, a professor of Serbia descent. That counsel has proven to be wise, giving us an opportunity to immigrate to the United States and become who we are today. It also led my parents to sponsor others in the family to come and experience the greatness of being American citizens with its freedom and privileges.
We have visited Granduncle in Taiwan (in the 1960s) and in Toronto (in the 1980s). What an awesome host he was! He has visited us in San Diego as well. He outlived my parents (who died in their 90s) and knew how grateful they are for him. My brothers, Leo and Victor, and I are forever grateful also. My husband and I had the privilege of visiting Granduncle just two months ago. We shared good memories with this precious special one. Remembering him with love and respect, and looking forward to seeing him again in our heavenly home. Eva

I have many fond childhood memories of Daniel. As a child, he was always smiling and giving us treats. In my teenage years he brought music into our lives from the many records he gave us when he worked for Warner Brothers. As an adult he was still smiling and proud as he watched his grandchildren walk down the aisle. He will be truly missed.
