Cynthia, wife of the late Dr. L.S.C. Mendis, mother of Dr. Tilak Mendis (Dr. Neila Mendis) and Kumar Mendis (Christine Mendis), beloved grandmother of Lauren Garvey (Greg Garvey), Dr. Nicholas Mendis (Dr. Arielle Singer), Dr. Bernard Mendis (Dr. Karolina Jaluba) and Amy Mendis and great-grandmother of Raya, Leora, Alayna and Noah, passed away peacefully in her 97th year in Toronto, Canada.
Cynthia achieved her Fellowship in the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and practiced as a professional gemmologist in Halifax and Ottawa prior to retirement.
Private service and cremation according to her wishes.
