In memory of

Cuu Tran

August 21, 1940 -  February 20, 2021

Cuu Tran passed away peacefully on February 20th, 2021 at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital after battling complications due to COVID-19 at the age of 85.

Cuu was born and raised in Vietnam and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1980 to give them a better life and future.

Cuu was an extremely kind and mild-mannered man with a big heart. He had a great passion for singing Chinese Opera; and playing many different traditional Chinese stringed instruments; his favourite was his beloved violin. He would occasionally take out his violin and start playing and his wife Alice would sing along. Chinese Opera was the "Red Thread of Fate" that destined Cuu and his wife Alice to meet. His passion lead to teaching Chinese Opera in the community and gained many devote students.

Cuu is survived by his beloved wife Alice, daughter Becky and husband Walter; son Michael and wife Linda; and two grandchildren
Evelyn and Logan.

Webcast visitation will be offered by Elgin Mills Funeral Centre on February 26th, 2021 at 12:30pm - 2:30pm. In-person visitation is private invitation only due to COVID-19 restrictions.

At the request of the family, instead of sending flowers to make a Memorial donation to Mackenzie Health Foundation, COVID-19 Response fund in memory fo Cuu Tran using the following link: https://www.mackenziehealthfoundation.ca/covid19-response/
