In memory of

Curtis Sankar Moonan

February 26, 2020

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we share the unexpected passing of our son and brother Curtis "Curto" Sankar Moonan at 44 years old. He left us on February 26th, 2020. Curtis was born in Dublin, Ireland on September 28th, 1975 to Dr. Sankar and Mrs. Betty Moonan. Curtis grew up in Trinidad and has lived in Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

Curtis will be forever in the hearts of his father Dr. Sankar Moonan; mother Mrs. Betty Moonan; sisters Nicole, Michelle and Natalie Moonan; brothers-in-law Ronald Bhagan and Anant Maharaj; and godson Noah Lee. He grew up in a large family with many uncles, aunts and cousins. We will all miss him dearly but are comforted by knowing that he is now with his grandparents.

Curtis also leaves behind his tremendously close-knit group of friends who were also very much his family and the many others he impacted around the world.

Curtis has had many accomplishments over his short life and through his education, sheer will and natural abilities he was able to succeed at anything he set his brilliant mind to. Everyone was so proud of him, just as he was so very proud of his family and friends. He also had a larger than life presence and a big heart. He will forever be remembered for his unconditional love and joy that he brought to us all. With his energy, charm, enthusiasm, compassion and general love of life, Curtis was truly loved by many and has left a lasting imprint on all our lives and hearts.

He was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
