In memory of

Constantin Gus Stathakos

November 23, 1930 -  March 30, 2021

Constantin (Gus) Stathakos was born in Korinth, Greece in 1930 to Ioannis Stathakos and Margarita Vlasis. He left Greece and emigrated to Canada in 1954. He married Mary Goletsos in Toronto in 1955 and together with his brother Jim Stathakos and his wife Mary ran the U and I Grill in 1957 just a block away from St George’s Church. He ended his working career in the maintenance department of the LCBO headquarters. Where he developed life long friendships with many of his co-workers.

They welcomed many friends and family members to Toronto with open arms and provided a warm safe place as they embarked on their new paths. He loved his family deeply and dedicated his life to them.
Daughters Margaret and Athanasia were his greatest joy but his heart belonged to his grandchildren: Michael and Andrew Fitzpatrick, Taea and Elia Diamantis whom he was so proud of.

Always the consummate philosopher, This kind and gentle man shared poignant stories which left their mark on you. A lover of food, no one ever left an encounter with him without a treat in their pocket.
He touched everyone he met and will be in our hearts forever.

Visitation, Funeral Service and Burial are attended by private family only.
