In memory of

Cindy Sin Ben Chan方仙冰

August 6, 1952 -  August 5, 2021

Cindy Sin Ben Chan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She left this world too soon on August 5, 2021 at the age of 68 just a few hours shy of her 69th birthday at Sunrise of Unionville, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Henry and Sui Han Fong on August 6, 1952 in Hoi Ping, China. She moved to Timmins, Ontario as a young girl and graduated from Timmins High. She then moved to Toronto where she started working at Canada Life and met her late husband, George Chan. Together, they raised three children: Brian, Karen, and Lori.

Cindy loved to travel, shop, socialize, dance and listen to the Beatles. She will be most remembered for her bright laughter and sunny smile. Cindy retired early to look after George. In 2014, her own health started to decline and she moved into Sunrise of Unionville, where she received the best care possible and where she was loved by all. She will be greatly missed by her family, her friends and everyone whose lives have been touched by her presence.

Please take a moment to sign the online guest book for Cindy's family. Your love and support during these difficult times are greatly appreciated. The visitation will be held on Thursday August 12, 2021 from 4pm-8pm. There will also be a livestream broadcast of the funeral service on August 13, 2021 beginning at 9:55am on the website. You are welcome to join us online.

In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation to the Alzheimer's Society of Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
