It is with great sadness the Spada family announces the passing of Cynthia (Cindy) Bernadette Spada (February 28 1971 - December 20 2022). Beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister. She leaves behind her husband Lou, her children Royan and Gian, as well as her entire loving family.

The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen, they are made and moulded through their experiences and Cindy was the most beautiful of them all. To anyone who knew her she was funny, fiesty, a bit crazy but most of all resilient and strong. She loved those in her life passionately despite any flaws. Her amazing sense of humour, her terrible taste in movies and loving personality will be forever missed.

Rest in Peace, love you always and forever. So long for now.

Cindy was a year older than me (a huge difference back in grade school), but she always caught my attention in the playground and in our neighbourhood courtyards. She was young, beautiful, while also being rough and tumble who could easily play with the boys. Through her teen years she continued to amaze me at how amazing she carried herself, and although I know there was darkness and rough times, I always held her in high regard through her struggles... Decades later (and thanks to Facebook), I had the honour of quickly catching up with her online. Little did I know it would be the last time. But wouldn't you know it, she was still the amazingly tough, beautiful and resilient person I knew all those years ago... Cindy, we were never close, but I felt like I always had the honour of knowing who you are. I hope to see you again sometime!
