Chun Sek Chan, 91, passed away peacefully on December 23rd at home from liver cancer.

Our family is grateful that our father is finally at rest.

Chun Sek was born in Chaozhou, China. He immigrated to Hong Kong in his teens, then to Canada in his sixties. He enjoyed cruising, swimming, badminton, photography, music, and movies. He enjoyed the sunshine and spending time near the ocean. He loved fiercely and would do anything for his friends and family. He made everyone who knew him laugh and they always enjoyed the stories he would share.

Chun Sek was a business owner - he owned an iron and steel factory in Thailand in his early years, and after immigrating to Canada he founded and operated Cantat, a small handmade paper business in Richmond Hill. Cantat was his pride and joy. He poured his heart and soul into the business which was recognized and appreciated by all his customers.

Chun Sek was predeceased by his previous spouse, Wei Shim Shum. He is survived by his wife, Mo Yu Wu, and his children and their spouses, Howard Chan, Man Chee Chan and Ka Ip Lau, Man Lan Chan and Jeff Geisel, and his grandchildren, Barney Lau and Gryphon Geisel.

We will miss him more than words can say.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Chun Sek Chan to the South Lake Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or SPCA.

家父陳春錫因病于本年十二月二十三日辭世，享年九十一歲。現定于本月三十日(星期六)舉行佛教殯殮儀式，儀式完結後於「黃金閣酒家」備有薄宴。
