In memory of

Chris C.P. Sin 冼鎮培

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Chris Sin <冼鎮培> on February 8, 2025 at the age of 81, who left us after a brave fight with cholangiocarcinoma cancer. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, known for his wit, his intellect and his unwavering love for his family.

Chris lived a life filled with generosity and a deep loyalty to his family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand. His legendary cooking skills were renowned by all, and we will forever cherish our many wonderful memories of the meals we shared together. His humour and wisdom touched the lives of many -- memories that will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him.

Chris was born in Hong Kong. An excellent study, he attended the prestigious Queen's College for secondary education. After completing his undergraduate studies in Hong Kong, he then earned a Masters of Business Administration at Oklahoma State University in the United States. He returned to Hong Kong to work and eventually become the financial controller for Inchcape plc in Hong Kong. It was in Hong Kong where he met the love of his life and his future wife of 50 years and had their 2 sons. And it was in Canada where he lived for the past 40 years, raising his family and opening his home to friends and relatives who visited or moved to Canada. After retirement, his greatest joys were travelling with his wife to over 60 countries around the world, perfecting his cooking, and doting on his three beloved granddaughters.

He is survived by his loving wife Tammy, his 2 loyal sons Hugo and Leo and their wives Josephine and Adrienne, and his 3 beautiful granddaughters Abigail, Ashley and Mackenzie, who will forever cherish his love and guidance.

A small service with family to honour and celebrate his life will be held. If you would like to send flowers for the memorial, please contact Alyssa Flowers (416-609-9202 or alyssaflowers4188@gmail.com). Alternatively, donations can be made in his name to the Canadian Cancer Society by going to: https://fundraisemyway.cancer.ca/campaign/cpsin

願他安息,他的愛與精神,成為珍貴的回憶,將長存於我們心中。

I know Chris as classmates of Queens College in Hong Kong. He was a wonderful and cheerful person. With Chris’s jokes we would never feel dull in parties with him. Our classmates will miss Chris and he will be in our mind forever.
