It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on June 12, 2023, Chui Hung Wong passed away peacefully at the age of 88 in Toronto, ON Canada after a brief illness.

Chui was born March 19th, 1935 in Guangdong Province, Kaiping, China. Then moved to Hong Kong in 1954. Immigrated to Canada in 1967 with her eldest son Lorne. Eventually settling with her husband Man Wing Wong in Sudbury ON, Canada that same year. In 1970 she gave birth to her youngest son Kent. Moving once more in 1996 to Toronto ON, Canada do be closer to her sons.

Chui was the mother of two boys. Chui was a “stay-at-home-mom”. It was usual for women during her era to stay home with the children while their husbands worked. Chui was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family, friends and neighbors, never expecting anything in return. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She always ensured that every person who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy.

She will be greatly missed by her immediate and extended families throughout Canada and the United States.

Chui is survived by her husband Man Wing Wong, her two sons Lorne and Kent.
Her two brothers York D. Quan and Tommy Kwan.
