In memory of

Christopher Alexander Love

May 3, 1947 -  January 22, 2017

Passed away peacefully in Milton District Hospital, at the age of 69, after a brave battle with ALS.

Chris is survived by his wife Joan, his two sons, Owen (Erin Collett) and Eric (Mary), and his grandchildren, Olivia and Morgan. Son to Albert and Mary Love, and eldest sibling to Helen, Brian, Colin, Irene, Carolyn, Margaret and Graham.

Chris was born in Limavady, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, before immigrating to Canada at the age of 21. He was an avid reader, fisher and loved the outdoors. Home was never far from the heart for Chris, whether it was here in Canada or overseas, to which he fondly travelled back and forth.

Chris worked for many years with the Ministry of Natural Resources, as a Cartographer, where as a young man, he met his future wife, Joan. The two started off on an adventure of forty-five years of marriage. He later volunteered his time working with the Peel Halton Acquired Brain Injury Services, which showed his desire to help others.

Chris will be dearly missed by his family and friends, and all who knew him. He will hold a special place in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ALS Society of Canada in Chris' name.

Joan, so sorry to hear of Chris's death; condolences to all of you..
I didn't get to know him really well but what I did know was that he had a great sense of humour and a lot of love and pride in his family...

Chris was a great storyteller and I so enjoyed his sense of humor. He lived a good and honorable life devoted to his family. In his heaven Chris stands on a riverbank quietly casting into the current. I will remember him so.
