Christine passed away at her home on October 7, 2023. Widowed from her late husband, Wen King Ow, Christine will be dearly missed by her children: Dawn, Celeste, Blythe, Elliott, and Avery. She was a devoted grandmother to Connor, Dylan, Liam, and Kyle. She was also the cherished eldest sister of Maranda, Stella, and Eric. From an early age, Christine spent her life sacrificing for her loved ones: she was always thinking of others and, even when shopping for groceries for herself, she would always buy extra to give away. She was an avid food lover who enjoyed trying new restaurants, and she was the centre of family celebrations. A memorial gathering will be held at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre on October 16, 2023 from 1-3 pm, with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or to Second Harvest.
