In memory of

Christina Linh Nhan "Chris" Wong

May 20, 1975 -  January 27, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Christina Linh Nhan Wong. She was a cherished wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Christina passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at 4:32 p.m., in the arms of her devoted, loving husband while surrounded by her beloved family.

Predeceased by her stepfather, Christina is survived by her husband, Kiet Truong; her mother, Yen Phung; her sister, Kim Trang (Hung), and nieces Vicky, Elizabeth and nephew Bruce; her sister, Liena (David), and nieces Chanel, Nikita, and Celestica; her sister-in-law, Linh Shields (Gary), and nieces Angel and Jade; her brother-in-law, Vi Truong (Emily), and nieces Juliana, Vivian, and nephew Jacob; her brother-in-law, Michael Truong (Alyona), and nephew Arthur. She also leaves behind her five treasured best friends of more than twenty years: Linh Shields, Karen Sabenije, Nila Troubitsini, Tekoa Sellars, and Bonnie Keov.

Born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, she bravely immigrated to Canada in 1980 with her mother to Edmonton, Alberta. By the age of seven, they moved to Toronto to begin the next chapter of their lives. Christina attended grade school and college in the city before starting her career in the legal industry, where she worked at Bay Street law firms for thirty years. During that time, she formed many friendships and professional relationships that she cherished dearly.

Christina and Kiet were childhood friends who grew up together, never expecting that their bond would one day lead to marriage. After dating for over 10 years, their friendship blossomed into something deeper, and in 2019, they tied the knot. Christina found not just a husband, but her soulmate and lifelong companion. They bought a home and lived in Markham, Ontario. Together they mutually enjoyed and shared a passion for life, a love of family and friends, and a spirit of adventure. Together they created a beautiful life filled with joy, laughter, and cherished memories. Christina loved being a wife, and marrying Kiet was the happiest day of her life.

Christina had many interests and hobbies that often involved spending time with her husband, close family, and those she loved. She had a passion for life in general, but her happiest moments were spent traveling and enjoying new experiences. She expressed herself through fashion and found joy in road trips, learning to fish with Kiet, and enjoying activities like camping, cycling, and boating. She loved capturing memories through photography, leaving behind a collection of treasured photos that bring comfort to her family and friends during this difficult time.

Christina's life serves as an inspiration to cherish every moment and create lasting memories. We take solace in knowing that she lived each moment to the fullest.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres, located at 1591 Elgin Mills Road East in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m.

Reception details will be shared following the services.
