My family and I first met Christian and his son Lucas six years ago at Scarborough Stingers baseball tryouts.

There was no Scarborough Rookie Ball team that year. However Lucas and his father took advantage of the invite to train with the Major Mosquito team for the entire winter.

It was during that time I got to know Christian and his eager son. It didn’t take long to understand his commitment and love for his family.

His guidance and passion to help his son be the fine young man he has become, was very obvious. Always smiling and laughing he brought great energy every time he walked into any room, or stepped on to any diamond.

He was a great man, and his legacy of being father and husband will be rembered forever.

Our condolences and prayers go out to the entire Padua family, god bless you my friend. We miss you.
