It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our dear husband, father and grandfather Chris Simeon on Friday November 12, 2021 at the age of 93 in Toronto, Ontario. He passed away peacefully at home with his dear wife Rose of 73 years by his side. Loving father to James and Vicky (Tom) and dear grandfather to Vanessa, Steven, Lara, Leah and David.

Chris was born on May 23, 1928 in the village of Sfetka, Petka in Greece to Theodore Simeon and Zois Nedelcopoulos. He was a dear brother to Veta, Luba and the late Thanasis. He spent about 5 years in the army and was an avid soccer player.

He and Rose were married on December 8, 1948 and immigrated to Canada in 1954 along with their son James. Here with hard work and long hours they started their own restaurant business along with Michael and Pearl Passas and Angelo Simeon. They ran a successful business "The Royal York Restaurant and Tavern" for 25 years. It was truly a "family" business where everyone worked there at one time or another.

Chris and Rose retired at 58 and enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with their family. Chris loved lottery scratch tickets and the casino and his favourite team was the Montreal Canadiens. He always had great stories to tell and was such a kind and gentle soul.

The family is planning a private funeral and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
