Peacefully, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Kennedy Lodge, Ching Cheung Hung passed away at the age of 90.
He was the beloved husband of the late Wai Lim (1990), loving father of Henry (Kitty), Wendy, Jane and Francis (Grace), cherished grandfather of Clifford (Elena), Stacy, Carter (Jaclyn), Joyce (Mike), Diana (Moe) and Stephanie, proud great grandfather of Issac.
Ching Cheung was born in Canton, China and married with four children. Despite the tough revolutionary times in China he managed to move the family to Hong Kong and raised the family with very little money. He believed higher education is paramount and provided all children with university education in spite of heavy financial burden. He immigrated to Canada in 1983 and lived a quiet life in Toronto after the passing of his wife.
Interment and service will take place at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, Ontario. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
