Kwan Ching- Kwan was a very good man whom we got to know in Goettingen. Like Ching-Kwan, Sai-Kit never says much, but there was mutual respect. We have wonderful memories of our lives there where both our young daughters were born and how Chien Shing played the older sister to our daughter.
We were so fortunate to have had you at our daughter’s wedding in Chicago, and then we were able to get together again in Hong Kong.
Fond memories remain and may he rest in peace.
It has been our honour and privilege to have known you for so many years, Professor Kwan! Although you did not speak a lot, you had a keen interest and deep understanding of the world around us, scientifically and politically. It was great sharing our thoughts together. We are going to miss you a lot. May you rest in peace.

Never realised we have such a genuine erudite classmate.
I got to know Mr. Kwan as his doctor and was a part of his circle of care since November 2022. He was always optimistic to maintain his health and his love for his wife and family was palpable at each visit.
He maintained his dignity, love, and humanity throughout the time he was battling his illness. I have the deepest respect for him and his wife, who was unwaveringly with him at each appointment, hand in hand. I wish to express my deepest condolences to his wife and wonderful family. May Mr. Kwan rest in peace.
Dear Dr. Kwan,
We will always remember you for your intelligence, gentleness, love of seafood, and books. My father recalled how much you enjoyed the tour to the fish farm and your thoughtful question. You never failed to amaze us with your sharp observations, inquisitive mind, and vast knowledge of Chinese history and culture.
We hope that you are now at peace. You’ll be deeply missed, but fondly remembered, always.
