Our father, Kao Chien Shien (Joseph), passed away peacefully in MacKenzie Health Centre in Richmond Hill on Sunday, July 14, 2019. He was born on October 26, 1930 in Yantai, Shandong. He married the late Lee Chuen Fan (Maria) in 1949 in Shandong. He migrated to Hong Kong in 1949 and was employed as a manager at a textile company in Hong Kong. He came to Canada in 1991. He enjoyed reading, gardening, watching basketball, hockey and baseball games, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Theresa and her husband Daniel of Toronto; two sons, Peter and his wife Ellen of Richmond, B.C. and, Paul and his wife Wandy of Richmond Hill; four grandchildren, Ashley and Averie of Toronto and, Michelle and Manfred of Richmond Hill; his brother in Hong Kong and two sisters in China, as well as many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and four brothers.
