My condolences to your family . May him RIP.
Uncle, Thank you for being a wonderful dude. We only met a few times, but I've known you for many decades.
All this time I've heard of you as an awesome Professor, but seeing you in person I appreciated how you could teach and inspire your sons, students and guests by the power of your humour too.
Rest well, you've achieved so so much on this earth. Mike and Felix, Aunty and the grandkids will be fine.
Most respectful College Head Prof Lee

I was a PhD student of Prof. Lee and got the doctoral degree under his supervision in 1995. Now, I am a Professor and Associate Director (Research) in the School of Biomedical Sciences in The Chinese University of Hong Kong. I still remember he taught me biochemistry when I was an undergraduate student in 1983. His teaching is wonderful and interesting. When I was a graduate student in 1992-95, he gave me the chance to learn my genomics techniques in the University of Toronto under the supervision of Prof. CC Liew and Prof. Lap Chi Tsui. This made me excel in the science community as a genetic and genomics scientist. He also supported the research of my early career until I became an assistant professor in the same university. He is always the role model of a perfect professor, not only about research, but also the attitude towards his colleagues and the skills to effectively handle numerous challenging tasks. I continue to learn from him after his retirement. During my up and down, he used to stand by me. I had the last email with him on 22 November 2023 and made the appointment to meet him during my visit to Toronto in late January 2024. Although this is impossible now, his care and teaching will continue to stay in my mind. My deepest condolences to Professor Lee’s family. Stephen Tsui
