My father Chee-Wei Chen was born in Shanghai China on Nov 26, 1927. He was the youngest child in his family. As a child born in the early 20th century, he went through a lot during his lifetime. A world ravaged by war, WW II and civil war in China. After China become a communist country, my father become jobless. He has no choice but choose to accept leaving his family and follow to find a job in Hong Kong. All these life obstacles influencing his views on the post-war world in which he himself grew up and, later, raised his own family.
From start to finish, my Heavenly Father guided my earthly father’s steps in his faith walk. And, in turn, my precious earthly father then guided mine. Dad instilled a love for the Lord—and for the Word of God—that I pray daily for God to deepen within me.
