In memory of

Charlie Ashbridge

August 11, 1932 -  December 30, 2016

Survived by his wife and soul mate of 61 years Jean and their daughter Elaine and son in law David, his two grand-children Shauna and Iain and great-grand daughter Laylah. Charlie Ashbridge was a true Scot thru and thru. Charlie and Jean and Elaine came to Canada in 1964, where he worked for Massey Ferguson and Cole Steel. Charlie loved lawn bowling and was the past president twice for Kew Beach Lawn Bowling Club, also a member of Queens City Yacht Club and an avid Golfer and Curler.
Charlie always left an impression on anyone he met and always had a smile on his face. Charlie loved the arts and was an amazing painter and loved to sing and was quite the dancer.
Charlie is going to be missed by all that knew him and he will always be forever in our hearts.

So sad to hear of your passing. I remember fondly our discussions about technology and your unbridled enthusiasm for it all. My family and I will miss you.

Time for me to go now, I won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, way up in the sky.
In the morning sunrise when all the world is new,
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.

Time for me to leave you, I won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky.
In the evening sunset, when all the world is through,
Just look for me and love me, and I'll be close to you.

It won't be forever, the day will come and then
My loving arms will hold you, when we meet again.

Time for us to part now, we won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky.
Every waking moment, and all your whole life through
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.

Just wish me to be near you,
And I'll be there with you.

Thinking of you all and wishing we could be there with you. Uncle Charlie will always hold a special place in our hearts. He was a wonderful, kind, funny man who was loved very much xx
