In memory of

Charles Richard Ireton

September 8, 1928 -  November 14, 2023

Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on November 14, 2023, at the age of 95. A true gentleman, with a friendly, kind and giving soul; lover of all God's creations. He had a deep faith in Christ and is ready to be reunited with his true love Dorothy (d.2014). Always proud and happiest in the company of his family, he was a loving dad to Mary, Dorothy Jr. (Sebastiaan), Charlie Jr. (Bonnie), Joe (Kristen) and granddad to 8. Charlie was a respected union organizer and leader. Dad found joy in simple things; a tomato from the garden, making pickles, a challenging crossword and a good “scoff”. He was always ready to make others smile with his quick wit. A sports enthusiast, he also enjoyed a hot game of cards and horse racing. We love you dad….God bless and peace be with you. Friends and family are invited to gather at the York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd., North York (north of Sheppard Ave. and west of Yonge St.), on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Church (75 Churchill Ave., North York) on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded to the family through www.etouch.ca

Charlie, thank you for the warmth, humour, casual chats about city politics, union matters, endless gardening tips….etc. Our time spent by the Manhattan Place Herb Garden is cherished and much appreciated.

Proud and grateful to have befriended with you and the Ireton family.

Ireton Family:
It is with sincere sympathy reaching out to you. Meeting with your dad he always had such a kind and thoughtful way of expressing himself. He really was a true gentleman.
Take Care,
Dale and Marty

Celebrating the life of a good person and mourning their passing with you. I will always remember their visits to the family farm growing up. A towering man with a good sense of humor. He always had a friendly smile and a funny joke ready in his back pocket.

My sincerest condolences to the family at this time.
