It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Chandreshwar was born in Patna, Bihar, India to his father Jaideva Prasad and mother Sudama Prasad (née Rai). In 1964, Chandreshwar moved to Stuttgart, Germany, to complete a internship with Mercedes-Benz. From there, he immigrated to Canada in 1967.
Chandreshwar is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marty, daughters, Joy and Gail and his grandson, of whom he was so proud and loved very much, John Jaideva. Overseas in India, he is survived by his two brothers, Rajeev and Sanjeev and his sisters Indu and Pratima, as well as his sister in Montreal, Canada, Prabha.
Chandreshwar worked as a Tool and Die Machinist throughout his career in Canada.
Chand was known and was appreciated for his generous and hospitable spirit, as well as his incredible talent as a chef. There was always room at his table for family, friends, neighbours and anyone in need. He will be remembered for his warm smile and infectious laughter. Chand always had a great love of adventure and travel and opened the world to his wife, daughters and grandson with family trips across Canada, to India and around the world.
Chand will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held on August 19, 2021 from 10 am to 11 am at Rexdale Alliance Church.
