In memory of

Victor Chan

April 7, 1957 -  June 13, 2020

Victor Chan passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 13 following his battle with cancer. As per Victor's wishes, he did not want a formal service. This should not be surprising given that he did not like the spotlight shining on him. Typical of Victor, he would rather help others than focus on anything related to himself. Since coming to Toronto for treatment, his goal was to enjoy whatever time he had with his family and friends in Montreal and Toronto. He achieved many of his goals including a cruise to the Caribbean, watching the Habs play, weekend breakfasts, the card tables in Las Vegas and lots of eating! So let's not be sad for Victor, although his time with us was too short, he wanted us to celebrate, enjoy life and no crying. So lets honor his wishes and think fondly of him as he is surely thinking of you...his friends and family.

Please feel free to add your photos...it's a real challenge finding pictures of the guy given his love of the camera lens but hopefully you have some that we can all share.

I’m thankful we had time with you on the cruise. I will always remember you getting up early and knocking on my cabin door to go for breakfast. You said that life was passing me by as I slept and I reminded you I was on vacation.
Rest In Peace my friend. Tristan and I are lucky to have known you.

Sometime one meets people in life by chance but they leave many life lessons for us.
Whenever we met for coffee at Starbucks, I admired your resilience and courage you showed in managing your health issues. And we also had laughs while sharing latest on Parklea crowd. I was lucky to meet you.
RIP my friend

Victor...You have been so much of a great friend to my family. Thanks for all the memories that we shared with you. We are so happy that you came into our lives. I am going to miss our friday night dinners...our hockey bets especially the leaf/hab games. You may be gone physically but you will always remain in our hearts forever. May you rest in peace.

Barry and Judy,
So sorry to hear of Victor's passing. I never had the opportunity to know Victor for very long but my first impressions were of someone with a gentle soul, kind and always thinking of others and not himself. I have no doubt he will greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
