Condolences to your family, you’re in our thoughts and prayers. Bless you all.
On behalf of the immediate family I wish to thank all of you for your support in this our time of grief. A little about Mum. She began her life in Middlesex, England. She was the youngest of 3 daughters of Roy and Lillian Cowling, her older sisters being Pamela and Betty. She worked for the Post Office in England and later for O.H.I.P and the Bank of Montreal in Canada. She retired from Scarborough General Hospital after many years of service. Mom loved music and was an accomplished piano player, even playing professionally for awhile. Though often faced with adversity, she raised 3 children on her own with a loving, caring and sometimes stern (but deserving) hand! Mom loved sports. She enjoyed watching golf, soccer, hockey, curling and she had a wicked badminton smash! In her earlier years she loved horseback riding. One of her biggest challenges was her baking. Her well-burnt Danish hanging on the kitchen wall was a constant reminder of this. It was also the source of many jokes! Needless to say our Mom will not only be greatly missed by her immediate family but also by her extended family in England and by her many cherished friends. Scott
