Catalina Coltescu passed away at home on the night of January 27th, after bravely battling cancer since June 2018.
Catalina Ruxandra Coltescu originally came to Canada from Romania where she completed her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Craiova, Romania.
Catalina began her career at University Health Network in August 2002 as a Research Analyst at Toronto Western Hospital Liver Clinic and was promoted three times to her most recent position as a senior Clinical Research Coordinator-II.
She was very dedicated to her work, was loved by all the study patients and developed long-term friendships with her team members
She made great contributions to Toronto Centre for Liver Disease through her coordination of very important investigator-initiated studies and clinical trials and participated in 17 peer review publications
Catalina leaves behind her loving husband, Constantin and their son, Stefan.
All who had the privilege of knowing her will sorely miss Catalina.
