In memory of

Caroline Raschig

1963 - 2021

The Raschig and Williams family is saddened to announce the loss of Caroline, who passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2021 in her 57th year. Caroline will be dearly missed by her husband Evan, her son Reid and her loving dog Joey. While we are heartbroken by her departure, we take some comfort in knowing she will be reunited in heaven with her son Mathew, father Richard, mother Marion, aunt Margie, uncle Bob and family dog Tieler. Caroline also leaves behind her Brother Richard, Sister Suzie, Great Cousin Ross, Uncle Peter and countless nieces and nephews.

Caroline always celebrated life and never let her cancer or the loss of her son Mathew change her positive, caring and celebration of each and every day. After her professional career in the shopping centre industry she dedicated her time to helping children. She volunteered at our son Reid’s local school, Norman Ingram, and finally accepted a position running the lunch break and recess programs. She couldn’t walk the neighborhood without being called out by the many kids she touched over the 14 years she worked at the School and I will never know how she remembered each and every one of their names.

When Caroline wasn’t busy in the city she loved to spend time at Bruce Beach, her “happy place”, enjoying the lake and the never ending beach with friends and families she has known her whole life. Caroline made all our lives better!

A private family visitation will be held for Caroline on Saturday, May 15 at 1:00 pm at York Funeral Centre. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on the same day. For those who wish to view the service remotely, a live link will appear on this page 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. An interment will follow in Section 24 of York Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, our ability to gather is limited to 10 people outdoors, however, you are more than welcome to support the Raschig and Williams family from your vehicles during the committal service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to The Children’s Wish Foundation in Caroline’s memory. The Raschig and Williams family deeply appreciates your ongoing support during this difficult time.

Caroline was definitely a favourite when I attended Norman Ingram. She had such a positive impact on all of the students including myself and I will always cherish our great memories. I am so thankful I was able to recently catch up with her when I was walking Goose. She was such a lovely person inside and out, may she Rest In Peace.
