In memory of

Caroline Anne Headdon

May 14, 1953 -  June 10, 2024

Caroline Anne Headdon, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Scarborough, Ontario. She was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully left this world due to health complications.

Carol was born on May 14, 1953, in Scarborough, Ontario, to her parents, David and Jean Wilson.

Carol graduated from Wexford Collegiate and went on to work at Supreme Aluminium; before marrying and becoming a mother.

On October 2, 1976, Carol married Norman Bruce, and they shared 48 years before her passing.

Carol was a devoted mother to her children, Josh, Shaun, and Keri. She cherished her role as a mother and supported her children in every endeavour they pursued. Carol was a constant presence at her children's various sports and activities, always cheering them on with pride and enthusiasm.

In addition to being a loving mother, Carol was also a doting grandmother to her two grandchildren whom she loved to spoil.

Carol was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a passion for artistic endeavours, particularly pottery, crochet, and design. Her unique artistic talents were a true reflection of her beautiful personality and creative soul.

Aside from her pursuits, Carol was actively involved in the community. She was a dedicated member of the George Peck Parent's Group for over 20 years, where she selflessly contributed her time and energy to support the communities’ various endeavours.

Those who knew Carol remember her for her kind and caring nature, her generosity, her beauty inside and out, and her quick wit that could always bring a smile to anyone's face. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Carol's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU team at Scarborough General Hospital for their compassionate care and support during her time of need. In honouring Carol's wishes, the family will be holding a private ceremony to celebrate her life at a later date.

To all who knew and loved Carol, please join us in remembering her with your condolences and sharing your cherished memories. Carol's spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

Rest in peace, dear Carol. You will be deeply missed, but your love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew you.

Beautiful Mama, I miss you. Such a beautiful soul who loved her family with all her heart. A Nana who was so proud of her grandchildren and bragged about them any chance she could. I will forever cherish our many memories and hold on to the special love between a mother and daughter that we shared. Your beautiful bright blue eyes, kindness, quick wit and big heart are all things I think of when remembering you. I find peacefulness in knowing you were surrounding by your family as you set off to be with our Lord in Heaven. Rest in peace beautiful Mama. You did well. I love you forever and always. Love your little girl.

Carol was a great person and will be missed. She was always very kind to me and I enjoyed the time that we spent together.

My favourite conversations with Carol were centred around the Blue Jays, and why they would always lose if I was watching! She was right, it always seemed to go that way, and despite my best efforts, they lost again last night while I was there to watch the game. Sorry Carol, I should have known better, you’re still right!

Thank you for being a great mother-in-law, I enjoyed your company and you will be missed.
