In memory of

Carole Jane Robbins

October 6, 1934 -  July 25, 2024

Robbins, Carole Jane (formerly Lamoureux, nee Wright)
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a gentle, kind and passionate woman with her family by her side, at Centennial Place LTC in Millbrook, Ontario.

Carole worked at Bell Canada, Toronto and for a few years at Pacific Bell, Los Angeles before returning to Toronto. Retiring in 1990, she enjoyed a full and happy “second career” looking after her growing family. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 40 years, a founding member of two Probus Chapters in the east end of Toronto, as well as a member, and part of the executive for a number of years, in the Bell Pensioners Group. Carole was a friend to many and a special friend to Claudette and George McQuat.
Carole was an accomplished seamstress, quilter, needle worker and craftsman, creating beautiful floral arrangements, along with her sisters, Betty-Lue and Diane for a number of years.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Robbins (2000), her sisters Betty-Lue Roger (2012) (John d.2005) and Diane Szpik (2024) (Ed).

Her legacy and memory will live on through her family, which will hold a special place in their hearts forever more.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Dave) Ogle, Marty (June) Lamoureux and Greg Lamoureux, her step children Jacqueline (Bob) Lane, David Robbins and Lloyd Robbins, her brother-in-law Ed Szpik, her grandchildren, who filled her heart with so much joy, Alex Borland, Carolee (Tyler) Tindale, Dean (Mykayla) Lamoureux, Kate Lamoureux Salter, Alexandra Lamoureux Salter, Darlene (Steve) Fournier, Laurie Acheson and Emily (Aneil) Sookdeo. And last, but not least her great grandchildren, Oakley, Willow, Wren, Parker, Ashley, Natalie, Eric, Lane, Shannon, Grace, Jack, and her many cousins, nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the many people who supported our mother throughout her last journey, there were so many of you. The staff at Centennial Place, mom’s friend and caregiver, Sarah Carson and our family, extended family, friends and Jackie Lane, whose calm hand and kind heart guided us through one of the most difficult days of our lives.

In lieu of flowers we would request donations to be made out to: Centennial Place Family Council in Carole’s memory. (Centennial Place, 2 Centennial Lane N., Millbrook, Ontario, L0A 1G0)
Visitation will be at Pine Hills Cemetery & Visitation Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. followed immediately by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Ryan Tindale, refreshments to follow.

I am so sorry for you loss. I was so lucky to see Carole a few weeks ago with my parents George and Claudette. She looked lovely as usual.
I not only remember Carole as my parents friend but as my mentor and boss. She originally hired me into Bell Canada and was loved by all. She will be missed .

Marty, Cheryl and Greg,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your mom, Carole. I have such very fond memories of the times we were all together. Your mom, Betty Lu and Diane made everything such fun and we always had lots of laughs! I imagine they are all having a great reunion right now!!
Lots of love and hugs,
